New Jersey Condominium Insurance
General Information
When you own a condo, you actually own two things: Everything within the walls and a part of the entire dwelling structure and property.
There are also two insurance policies involved: An insurance policy to cover everything inside the walls and an insurance policy to cover the entire dwelling structure and common areas.
Your Condominium Association will have the insurance polcy on the entire dwelling and common areas, and it is usually called the master insurance policy. You are responsible for the insurance policy that covers everything inside the walls.
